The Midtown Riders bring a sophisticated, high-energy fusion of R&B and Jazz to the heart of Tribeca. Formed in 2020 after guitar-hybridist Kai Gluska and drummer Eden Har-Gil relocated to New York City, the duo has carved out a reputation for a sound that is as technically inventive as it is deeply soulful.

Drawing inspiration from the rhythmic grit of D’Angelo and the improvisational soul of Charlie Hunter, the band’s foundation is built on a "deep pocket" philosophy. Gluska anchors the ensemble on his self-built "Frankenstein" guitar, a hybrid instrument that allows him to play both bass and guitar roles simultaneously, while Har-Gil provides the driving, jazz-rooted foundation that keeps the room moving.

For their performance at The Roxy, the duo is joined by longtime collaborator and celebrated vocalist Wanda Civic.
